How You Feel in the Moment is What Makes the Photo

Before I picked up a camera, I spent 20 years behind bars (bartending, not jail, LOL) , restaurants, cafes, fine dining, Italian-delis, coffee science labs and roasteries all over San Francisco, Oakland, Manhattan and Brooklyn.

I am passionate about Hospitality and I am genuine about my love for serving people. As it turns out, all of that experience engaging the public, making people feel welcomed, comfortable, happy, content and at ease is exactly what is needed when capturing authentic images of people in my studio.

*Misc few notes from me*

Structured, but loose enough to feel fun
My images are professional (duh) but it's important that the images have genuine authenticity and personality in them so I generally insist we add a little playfulness and fun during the session. Make a few dad-jokes, pull up a meme or two. Whatever it takes to get some authentic candids alongside the Linked-in bangers. Thats what I am after and I promise I will get us there.

Secret studio strategies

Some people need jokes and banter to get them out of their heads or lighten the mood. Others need quiet focus. Working in service trained me to read people quickly adn meet their needs, match their energy and capture their most authentic selves. Being able to read the room to make sure youre feeling good is one of my super powers.

No awkward posing

Just kidding. Everyone will feel awkward no matter what I do because humans are just naturally awkward. I should know! (LOL) I'm mostly kidding, but I promise you I will make it fun and enjoyable for you and your team. You dont have to know what to do in front of the camera because I will guide you so it feels natural.

Party at the ski lodge?

People often call my studio "The Ski Lodge" because it's a patina filled space with wooden floors and walls (like a ski lodge) and its always cozy, warm, great music, great vibe. Never cold (literally or emotionally). As my friend Crystal would say. its a vibe.

In conclusion

Your professional headshot and online presence should work harder than you do. It should make an impression, open doors, and maybe even getting you a free drink (no promises). I am 100% confident and committed to making this happen properly for you.

Hit me up so we can get to work.

How You Feel in the Moment is What Makes the Photo

I bring 20+ years of hospitality (bartending, cafes, fine-dining) into every session. This experience allows me to ebb + flow artfully with a range of personalities, curveballs and emotional breakdowns (JK!). But ultimately this just means that the process is easy, warm, and surprisingly fun for you.

Heres What Makes Me Different:

No awkward posing. You dont have to know what to do in front of the cameraIll guide you so it feels natural.

A process that adapts to you. Some people need jokes and banter. Others need quiet focus. I read the room fast and make sure youre at ease in seconds.

Structured, but loose enough to feel real. I keep things professional, but I wont make you hold an uncomfortable grin for five minutes straight.

No generic studio vibes. You wont get cookie-cutter results. Every shot is crafted to fit your personality and your goals.

I work with executives, founders, creatives, and professionals who need more than just a headshotthey need a strategic first impression that works. Lets make sure yours counts.
