Who are these fancy images for?

Our images are for anyone who understands the importance of investing in themselves. Being successful in business doesn’t come from being average and doing the bare minimum. Your headshot is a direct extension of your accomplishments — let’s make it shine.

Where is your studio located?

Our studio is located in a quiet neighborhood, not far from Lake Merritt in sunny Oakland, California.  If Oakland feels ‘too far’  we can travel to you.

Do you travel?

For you, we’ll make an exception.

Our studio is completely mobile and can be taken just about anywhere. Depending on your location, there may be an additional travel fee.

What does a typical headshot session look like?

For lack of a better word we call it a ‘session’. It’s really more like casually hanging around the studio with your friends cracking jokes. In studio or on-site, creating a laid back shooting environment is one of the secret ingredients to Brians success.  

When you arrive we’ll, discuss the different clothing options you brought and see what’s going to translate best in camera. Brian’s seasoned at giving instructions and direction to achieve the desired expressions and angles that he needs from you. You’ll never have to wonder if you are doing the right thing, standing the right way or making the right face to the camera. You just have to be open and present and leave the rest up to him. If you’re lucky, Brian may even crack some of his “award winning” dad-jokes to get you laughing.

Once we feel we have some great shots we’ll review a few of them together and decide if we want to change up the clothing and vibe or if we want to call it a day.

Do you provide hair & Makeup?

Not at this time, unfortunately.

How do I select which images I like?

Depending on what your needs are, you can either choose your image same day at the studio, or you can wait 36 for a custom PDF or DROPBOX with the best shots for you to look through at your own pace.

From there you can select your favorites and get them back to us for additional review.

We will always point out strong images (and will let you know if what we love isn’t mentioned in your  top picks).  Once everyone agrees on a final selection, we will get it into the queue for retouching and polish.

What is the turnaround time on retouching?

After the final selects have been made,  the edits typically take about 5-7 business days.

What?! You need it sooner?  Rush delivery is available upon request.

What is your approach to retouching?

With our background in commercial portrait and beauty retouching we can customize this to whatever specs you like. Some people like full colorful creative and others like to keep it subtle and natural. Anything is possible and we will always discuss beforehand what you are after to make sure that the final image meets your needs and reflects your brand.

Side note:   We try to stay away from blurry faces.  If you see an image with a blurry face, it’s because the photographer/retoucher cut corners.

What happens after the editing & how do I get my images?

After the main portion of the editing is complete we will send you over a sample(proof) for you to approve. If you love it as much as we do, you can approve it immediately and receive your images that day.  We usually Dropbox the final images but if you know of a better way, we’re all ears.

What form of payments do you take?

To avoid fees we prefer cash or check; but also accept Venmo, SquareCash and Credit Cards.

What guarantee do you offer?

We absolutely stand behind our work and promise that you will love your new images.  We will be clear and informative throughout the process but if for some reason you are still unhappy with your images, we will gladly book another session for you at no cost.

Do you offer discounts?

If your nice and we vibe than yes,  we can offer you a discount.  If three or more people book together (more the merrier) the higher the discount.  Bring your friends!

On the low we also give discounts to local businesses / not-for-profits who we think are doing important things. We generally contact them directly but if you think your business deserves a discount, reach out and tell us why.

Cancellation Policy

If for any reason you need to cancel we will happily re-schedule you but must get a 48 hour notice.

If you cancel with less than 48 hours you will need to pay for half of the cost of the missed session. If you cancel within 24 hours, you will have to pay for the full amount.

Deposits are non-refundable.

Is there a deposit?

Yes.  Deposits are a sign of respect.  We charge a $100/pp  non-refundable deposit. If you can’t make your shoot for any reason we will hold your deposit until you are ready.
